Position Job Title: Assistant/ Associate Professor, Strategic Management, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship (Continuing)

Description:


The University of Niagara Falls invites applications for a full-time tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant/ Associate Professor with a specialization in Strategic Management, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship. The appointment will commence on Feb 29, 2024, or shortly thereafter.


Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field from an accredited institution. In addition, a minimum master’s or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 5 years of professional experience in Project Management is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing and teaching Strategic Management, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship courses in a multi-modal post-secondary education environment, specifically at the graduate level. Practical and professional experience and expertise in Strategic Management, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship practices are essential. The Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute is an asset.


Demonstrated commitment to creating a diverse, inclusive, and engaging learning environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Experience teaching in an environment with diverse students is preferred.

We are interested in candidates in strategic management, project management, entrepreneurship, or a similar field with experience in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, causal inference empirical research, or analytical modelling.


Experience as an Academic Advisor or Program Coordinator, supervision of student research work and capstone courses at the graduate level, certification in adult education, and a track record of scholarly activity in the above fields are all advantageous.


The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses and supervise students in strategic management, project management, and entrepreneurship at the master’s and bachelor's degree levels. Responsibilities include developing and conducting dynamic and interactive in-person, online, and hybrid sessions, providing a high-standard, student-centred, and experiential learning environment, facilitating discussions, and utilizing learning management systems for course delivery.


Collaboration with the Associate Dean, Master of Management, to support curriculum goals and develop high-standard courses in finance and marketing is required. The Assistant Professor will act as the Course Lead for assigned courses, offer guidance and support to students during designated office hours, and supervise student research work.

The successful candidate will engage in independent research and scholarly activities, contributing to program development and continuous improvement. Service to the faculty and university is expected, with effective, respectful, and collaborative work in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings.


Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
